MOOD
Couple of weeks ago I created an account on Seezona and now I've created three mood boards with it. I've been making mood boards a lot on the blog, so I'm happy to see that it got a lot easier with this new site. On Seezona you can create your own mood boards, shop the looks and follow inspiring people.

Prairie Affair

I've always loved prairie -inspired style, so when I saw those romantic florals, ruffles and lace in many collection for Spring/Summer 2016, I was pretty excited. One of my favorite editorials this season is the picture above of "Little Sisters" Kylie Jenner, Bella Hadid and Lottie Moss, wearing beautiful blossoms. If you're not into super-romantic-and-sweet look, choose combat boots -for example Dr. Martens, to bring some attitude and 90's feeling to your pretty blossoms.

Spring 2016 Trends: Silver Linings
One of the big trends this spring will be shiny, metallic silver.
White is always a good choice with silver, but if you want something new, try to pair silver with something bohemian like Isabel Marant showed us in her SS16 collection. Perhaps tribal inspired jewelry, textured fabrics and ethnic prints?

Ready For September
It's almost September so soon we need to start wearing jackets and knits again. Fall is a good season for fashion, hence the fact that you can layer and wear different kind of materials. It's always fun to try something new and freshen up your wardrobe in fall.
This fall the biggest trend is the 70's so I'm still craving everything suede, striped and lace-up. This season my must have shoes are definitely patent ankle boots. I'm also craving Nike's white Air Max trainers which is really odd, because I think they would be my first ever trainers. They would look super cool with brown suede and something not-so-sporty. I think the trainer hype has finally got into me.

On melkein syyskuu, joten kohta pitää taas laittaa takkia päälle ja kaivaa neuleet esiin. Syksy on hyvää aikaa muodille; pystyy käyttämään paljon eri materiaaleja sekä on kerrospukeutumisen kultainen aika. Syksyllä on myös aina kiva kokeilla kaikkea uutta sekä uudistaa vaatekaappia.
70-luku pysyy muodissa ja onkin tämän syksyn isoin trendi. Itseäni viehättää kaikki mokka, raidat sekä nyörit. Tämän syksyn must have -kengät on kiiltonahkanilkkurit koroilla. Löysin Zarasta sekä River Islandista täydelliset parit -toivottavasti toiset löytäisivät tiensä mun vaatekaappiin. Olen myös kuolannut jo vähän aikaa Niken valkoisia Air Maxeja, mikä on tosi outoa, koska en ole eläessäni omistanut yksiäkään lenkkareita (pakollisia sisäpelikenkiä lukuunottamatta, joita en tainnut edes montaa kertaa käyttää). Aikoisin kyseisiä kenkiä käyttää esim. ruskean mokan kanssa, sekä muiden ei-niin-sporttisten materiaalien kanssa. Nyt tämä pitkän aikaa kestänyt lenkkarihypetys on siis saanut mutkin valtaansa.

At the moment I'm craving all kind of lace up clothes. This is my little guide to where to find the best lace up tops, bodysuits and dresses. If you guys have found any cool lace up skirts or pants, I'd be happy if you gave a hint.

Stripe Mania

One of the trends this season is stripes. They are big and bold, graphic, and appear in primary colors as well as in black and white. Balmain's spring/summer 2015 collection was very graphic and there were these all stripe everything looks, like you can see above (the striped skirt look and the black and white pants look).
To be honest, I haven't been the biggest fan of stripes before. To me (and maybe some other Finns) they have only been plain Marimekko stripes, or some sailor stripes, and I'm not that into sailor style. But as crazy as it may seem, the trends affect to us in a crazy way: I'm even thinking about buying some striped pants. Now the stripes, at least the bold and bright ones that are trending now, are really attracting me at the moment. And suddenly, they aren't boring at all. On my wishlist there's now at least some primary colored sporty crop tops, and who knows, maybe I'll buy striped pants at some point. Would be a killer with a band tee, and I got a lot of band tees.

En ole varmaan ainoa suomalainen, jolle raidoista tulee heti mieleen Marimekko. Tähän maahan syntyneet saattavat siis pitää raitoja hieman tylsinä ja tavallisina. Toinen, mikä raidoista tulle minulle mieleen on merimies -tyyli, joka ei oikein koskaan ole kolahtanut muhun. Tästä syystä raitoihin pukeutuminen on jäänyt vähän vähemmälle.
On aika hassua, miten trendit vaikuttavat meihin. Kun sama vanha asia tuodaan esille hieman päivitettynä, niinkuin tässä tapauksessa niinkin yksinkertainen kuin raidat, alamme tuntea vetoa näihin asioihin, vaikka aikaisemmin ei olisi välittänyt tai edes pitänyt kyseisistä asioista. Itsekin olen harkinnut ilmavien raitahousujen ostoa. Nyt aluksi kuitenkin rustaan rastin pääni sisäiseen toivelistaan sporttisen crop topin kohdalle. Mutta kuka tietää, ehkä näette mut vielä joku päivä raitapöksyissä. Sopisi täydellisesti bändi t-paidan kanssa, kuten tossa kuvassa näkyy.
