One of the trends this season is stripes. They are big and bold, graphic, and appear in primary colors as well as in black and white. Balmain's spring/summer 2015 collection was very graphic and there were these all stripe everything looks, like you can see above (the striped skirt look and the black and white pants look).

To be honest, I haven't been the biggest fan of stripes before. To me (and maybe some other Finns) they have only been plain Marimekko stripes, or some sailor stripes, and I'm not that into sailor style. But as crazy as it may seem, the trends affect to us in a crazy way: I'm even thinking about buying some striped pants. Now the stripes, at least the bold and bright ones that are trending now, are really attracting me at the moment. And suddenly, they aren't boring at all. On my wishlist there's now at least some primary colored sporty crop tops, and who knows, maybe I'll buy striped pants at some point. Would be a killer with a band tee, and I got a lot of band tees.

En ole varmaan ainoa suomalainen, jolle raidoista tulee heti mieleen Marimekko. Tähän maahan syntyneet saattavat siis pitää raitoja hieman tylsinä ja tavallisina. Toinen, mikä raidoista tulle minulle mieleen on merimies -tyyli, joka ei oikein koskaan ole kolahtanut muhun. Tästä syystä raitoihin pukeutuminen on jäänyt vähän vähemmälle.

On aika hassua, miten trendit vaikuttavat meihin. Kun sama vanha asia tuodaan esille hieman päivitettynä, niinkuin tässä tapauksessa niinkin yksinkertainen kuin raidat, alamme tuntea vetoa näihin asioihin, vaikka aikaisemmin ei olisi välittänyt tai edes pitänyt kyseisistä asioista. Itsekin olen harkinnut ilmavien raitahousujen ostoa. Nyt aluksi kuitenkin rustaan rastin pääni sisäiseen toivelistaan sporttisen crop topin kohdalle. Mutta kuka tietää, ehkä näette mut vielä joku päivä raitapöksyissä. Sopisi täydellisesti bändi t-paidan kanssa, kuten tossa kuvassa näkyy.
